Product overview
A modular transformer is a transformer that combines the booster transformer body, switchgear, fuse, tap changer, and corresponding auxiliary equipment. The high-voltage switch and fuse are all installed inside the oil tank, and the overall size is relatively small. Its structural form is similar to the box transformer introduced from the United States in the 1990s. Based on product structure and component configuration, it can be divided into two types: one is the fully insulated compartmentalized box-type product, and the other is the high-voltage single-box product that uses dry bushing outlets.

Product structure characteristics
· Fully insulated box-type combination transformers 12kV and 40.5kV side outlets use fully insulated cable prefabricated connectors and touchable plug-in surge arresters. The entire product has no exposed high-voltage live elements, offering a high protection level and reliable safety;
· Fully insulated separate box-type combined transformer, with the transformer and high-voltage components housed in two independent cabinets. This not only solves the problem of oil contamination in transformers but also allows high-voltage components and transformers to be inspected separately;
· 12kV products use insertion fuses combined with backup protection fuses for protection; 40.5kV products use plug-in full-range protection fuses for protection;
· No leakage: Each tank undergoes a 50kPa/12-hour sealing test to ensure no leakage;
· High-voltage transformers use dry-type bushing outlet for shared box combination transformers, making wiring convenient. High voltage can support multiple incoming and outgoing circuits at lower cost;
· The equipment casing is coated with a strict coating process and UV protection topcoat, providing strong outdoor weather resistance;
· Adopts a compact "pin" shaped structure, occupying less than two-thirds of the footprint of a prefabricated substation;
· Reliable operation, transformer uses dual fuse protection. Plug-in fuses use double-sensitive fuses for protection against overload and low-voltage transformer faults. Backup protection fuses are used to protect transformer body faults. Two-stage full-range protection transformer;
· The transformer body uses a shared box structure, with high and low voltage bushings using side wiring, facilitating direct connection to high and low voltage electrical devices. The insert-type fuse is placed on top of the device body, effectively reducing installation space. Heat sinks are installed on both sides of the transformer body, providing good heat dissipation;
· Safe and environmentally friendly, fully sealed and insulated structure, capable of meeting corrosion protection requirements in harsh regions such as high altitude and heavy salt spray.
